Today, the Notes and iNotes software part numbers disappear from IBM Passport Advantage. Entitlements should have been converted and renewal invoices (except those due in the remaining weeks of February) should reflect the CAL model only.
This will help ease the confusion for Notes/iNotes pricing. Having sold Lotus products since 2005, I can understand the move to this simplified approach.
I am also excited that the Domino Designer is now a free download. If you haven’t had a chance to get it, go get it. I am starting to see a renewed interest in Domino as a development environment again. As I told one customer in November, everything is built into the Domino environment, so you don’t have to have multiple servers to display content to your customers.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions that you have on the new pricing.
Happy hunting.
