NotesAppStore: Worth a Look

On Friday I was meeting Lisa Whitsell from Whitsell Consulting when she in informed me that there is now a Notes App Store (http://www.notesappstore.com/).  I was shocked at the news.  Finally, someone had gone out and done it.  NotesAppStore.com is a volunteer project started by Frank Paolino from MayFlower Software.

On Monday, I took a look at the site.  I came away impressed with it.  It has a nice, clean interface.  On the Home page, it list apps for Email, Administration, Productivity, Development, and Service & Training.

I clicked through the Productivity section to see which applications are available.  I saw many that I would like to test out over the coming months.

If you have time, take a look at the site.  If your company has or uses a great application, help get it onto the Notes App Store.  It will get better if we all contribute to this project.

You can also get involved by following NotesAppStore on Twitter, join the LinkedIn Group NotesAppStore, and join the Facebook Group NotesAppStore.

Let me know what you think of the site.

I love the site...but I created it! The only thing missing from the review was a link to the site, so here it is:

Thanks Frank, got the link fixed. How's the experience been with the app store so far?

Tom, I just posted stats for the last 30 days:

There are 257 Lotus Notes Apps on the NotesAppStore!
There are also 40 ISV product resellers
There are currently 131 Product and Reseller Reviews
    There were 18 quote requests

Not bad, but your are right on target when you say : "It will get better if we all contribute to this project."

You would be surprised to find out how hard it is to get people to promote the site, even when it help them.
